How to apply?

Grant requests can be made at any time throughout the school year, but must be submitted by a principal and include their signature.  A completed application should be emailed to Amanda Bennett at the High Point Community Foundation. Once received, the application is shared with the Students First committee for review. A staff member from the Foundation or chair of Students First, will contact the school directly to discuss the request.

Students First Committee

A group of advisors called the Students First committee manages the process. These individuals have a proven track record of impacting our schools with their leadership and resources and includes former educators, current and retired school board members, and community leaders. The committee members are not serving as trustees of the Foundation, which helps provide a unique perspective.

The Students First committee sets goals and strategies for the fund and oversees all grant-making decisions. Because Students First is an initiative of the High Point Community Foundation, oversight is provided by the Board of Trustees of the Community Foundation.
